Upon inspecting the electronics it has a 5 watt Gibson US made amp and speaker built into it and it runs on a 9 volt battery and also plugs in to a amp like a regular guitar. The only thing wrong with it is that there is one little nick in it as shown in the pictures. This guitar is in MINT CONDTION, and all the electronic are all original and work perfectly. The serial number of this guitar is U99010064 The Gibson employee confirmed the serial number breaks down as follows: U means the parts of the neck and body came from the Korean plant, 99 is the year, 01 is the month and 0064 means 6 were made and 4 means it was the fourth prototype made. After speaking on the phone with a 20 year employee of Gibsons Custom Shop, I was told that 3 of the 6 prototypes were sold or kept by Gibson executives, The 3 others are still in the custom shop storage area still to this day. 6 Prototypes were made 2) Red, 2) Black and 2 Seafoam Green. After review by the executives at Gibson, Seafoam Green was ruled out and production began in Red and Black only. Epiphone in Korea shipped most of the parts to Gibson in Nashville where this guitar was hand assembled in the custom shop in Nashville, TN.The prototype colors were Red, Black and Seafoam Green. The color of Seafoam Green and was never used in any production runs of this model Mo Baby Moderne. Here for sale is a 1999 prototype Gibson/Epiphone Mo Baby Moderne PROTOTYPE.
